The professional Gong Mallet M174 was developed with an extra portion for fine sounds. It differs from the other ollihess Gong-Mallets mainly in size, weight and intended use. The Mallet is the right one for you if you like to play with pairs of mallets, for example. The handle is only 20 centimeters long, which makes it easy to play fast rhythms due to the low leverage.

Effective and handy application

The Mallet is the right accessory for gong players who want a mallet with little weight, because it weighs only 174 grams. The low weight is due on the one hand to the short handle, and on the other hand to the diameter of the head, which is only 7.2 centimetres for the Profi Gong Mallet M174. This way you can hold it for a long time without straining your wrists too much.
The handle diameter is 17.55 millimeters, with the end being slightly thicker than the shaft so that the mallet fits comfortably in the hand. Because the handle is so short, it is also impossible for it to accidentally touch the gong when struck. This means that there are no annoying clanging sounds when playing, for example during meditation.

Special natural rubber core

Despite the small mallet head, you will achieve a great effect with this mallet, because the head is specially constructed. The core is made of natural rubber, a light and soft material that provides clear tones without annoying impact noise.
With its small head, the Mallet is very suitable for small gongs – such as feng gongs. These can be set in vibration quickly and therefore need light mallets that do not strain them too much. But the Profi Gong Mallet M174 is also suitable for all other gongs from 40 centimetres diameter upwards.

Sheath made of durable fleece

So that you can enjoy this mallet for a long time, we have chosen a high-quality and hard-wearing wellness fleece for the sheathing of the head. The fleece protects the mallet from wear and tear and won’t scratch your gong. The sheathing is available in many different pop colours.
