Apart from the special material composition, we have also taken care of the production process. Special machines and tools are required to be able to manufacture the grater ball at all. We carried out many tests in advance with regard to the processing methods. For example, we had to find the right speed to be able to grind the ball perfectly Our high quality standards naturally apply not only to the ball of the friction mallet, but also to the handle. We also paid special attention to this. The trick was to build a device for drilling the holes for the handles without getting your fingers into the milling cutter. We manufacture the friction mallet with great care in our own workshop here in northern Germany. Due to the individual handwork, the ball thicknesses may differ by a few millimeters. However, this has no influence on the quality.
