What makes the new Tie Dye Edition gong driver from Olli Hess so special?

Always breaking new ground is the basic principle of Olli Hess. The world of sound is multifaceted - and we want to explore and use it in all its facets. In order to continuously expand our range and give you an even wider spectrum of sounds, we try out a lot and change our manufacturing processes and materials. the friction mallet Tie Dye Edition not only stands out visually from other gong drivers - its sound in particular will surprise you with new facets and even more variety. We have achieved this through an innovative manufacturing method based on thoughtful and careful craftsmanship.

The extravagant design

The tie-dye look of the Tie Dye Edition gong grater stands for uniqueness and individualism. We make each Tie Dye Edition gong driver by hand - this creates an individual batik pattern for each driver that only exists once. This makes every Olli Hess Tie Dye Edition gong mallet unique - you decide whether you prefer the blue and green batik pattern or the black and gray version. This gives you a gong driver that does justice to your individuality.

An extraordinary sound image

We are not only breaking new ground visually with the Tie Dye Edition gong reamer, the sound spectrum that you can produce with our reamers has also changed thanks to a new processing method. We use soft natural caoutchouc.a particularly sustainable material that is biologically in harmony with the environment. We deliberately do not roughen the ball with our tools for this gong reamer. The soft surface of the ollihess Tie Dye Edition gong mallet therefore produces exceptionally beautiful and intense tones, which can range from radiant, bright to deep, dark sounds, depending on the sound instrument and application. At the same time, the mallet's own noise is almost completely avoided.

A different kind of production

Our Olli Hess gong driver with a batik look is produced using a specially developed process that sets it apart from other gong drivers. During the manufacturing process, we use pre-colored natural caoutchouc. This is mixed naturally by careful rolling, giving it a uniform color. We then take small, square pieces from the rolled mass and place them on top of each other in the baking tin. There they fuse together in the oven and the unusual batik look is created. We also use environmentally friendly and sustainable raw materials in the production of the Tie Dye Edition gong driver. Every ollihess gong driver is completely vegan. All raw materials come from renewable sources and are preferably grown regionally. So even with the Tie Dye Edition gong driver, we make no compromises. Not with the head, not with the handle.
